He would've gotten one if he had played to a level where it had been at least a little bit believable he was deserving of one. Instead, he got so thoroughly outshined by Bron that the only reason they could find to justify not giving it to a losing player was to give it to the guy who at least somewhat contained him.

This thread is the real reason both Steph and Giannis receive some backlash. Their fan base are entitled and feel their favorite player have a privilege to receive accolades despite there being more deserving players. This makes them overrated, despite their greatness.

The guy was a project, skinny kid from Greece who nobody knew and turned himself into an MVP. Wasn't highly touted but worked his way up the mountaintop and grinded to get there. The one guy who should be getting the vitriol is No 1 overall pick Ben Simmons.
