Also, if an artist you consider dope put out a wack song, would you then label the artist wack? Wack artists put out dope or great songs all the time, shyt, this is the case for probably half of all one hit wonders.

ONE song either wack or dope doesn’t mean you look at the artist either way. But if I was constantly hearing Post Malone songs that I liked and listened to then I wouldn’t say he was a wack artist, at that point just admit you’re a fan and that you think his songs are dope. Name me a wack artist that has more than 5 dope songs.

Wack is subjective, you may like these artists....but playboy carti, terrible rapper but picks fire beats and has a decent enough voice that there is a vibe to his songs that allows you to tune out his wackness, luke nasty like I said in op, horrible voice and rapper, but his lyrics are so ignorantly simple over fire ass beats you bop along to it, kid ink is wack but gets dope features and beats and knows how to create a song you can dance to, silk the shocker, terrible rapper but created so many quotables from being that bad

Aside from carti...I’m not a fan of any of those artists, yet they have had more than five songs I like for one reason or another

DJ Luke Nasty is absolute trash on the mic, I really don't how he made it to (national?) radio.

He was a radio DJ in one of the Carolinas. Used those connections to get the record poppin regoinally and then nationally. Not unlike Khaled's come up except Khaled also had major co-signs on his records from the top Florida rappers (and Florida transplants Wayne & Fat Joe).

Just having a fire beat doesn’t make a song dope to me. just Cos some fool can mumble sing a chorus for 70% of the songs doesn’t mean it’s any good just because it has a nice feature. I don’t even listen to anything from those people you mentioned, especially Kid Ink or some shyt like that
