In the 5 minutes that the Warriors played that lineup in the 4th quarter the Bulls dumped it down to Gasol on the block a total of one time.

On one possession Jimmy butler shot a long contested 2 instead of dumping it to Pau and on another possession they screwed around until it was 3 secs on the shot clock and Mirotic had to take a wild 3 instead of dumping it to Pau.

:francis: Hoiberg coached a good game all game long until they brought that lineup in and after that it seems like he forgot how to coach. He called no timeouts or nothing. He ran Horns and had Pau on the high post instead of the low post and that doesn't take advantage of his size and skill on the block over Draymond

Derrick Rose being healthy would've helped too :francis:

The problem is opposing teams keep trying to feed the post (often uncharacteristically), but the Warriors swarm them and either force a turnover or bad shot, and somehow rebound well enough to get the stop.

Barnes and Green can guard these bigger players somehow. They got the juice...
Draymond getting the defensive board and then starting the break fukks over damn near every team in the NBA.

I just went :mjcry: when I had to watch Pau try and get back and find trailers and rotate to whoever's open off of a Warriors break. Pure struggle

Pau is a soft bytch tho

I don't know how or why teams allow Draymond Green to defend guys who should be punishing him. Does he lock up Cousins too?

I disagree breh. Green can only guard post players if they allow him to guard them and if the coach doesn't attack that mismatch

The thing is, when the warriors put that lineup in they find the mismatch and exploit it, the other team usually either doesn't have a good offensive post player like Deandre Jordan or they do have one and just reuse to exploit that mismatch

It's frustrating to watch these coaches make things so hard at times :francis:

Cousins would get suspended for punching the shyt outta Draymond ass before he let him effectively guard him down the stretch of a game breh believe that

But it's more than that, that lineup is obviously the Warriors best lineup and they usually bring it out in the fourth quarter. When they brought it out tonight Hoiberg could've called a timeout and brought Gibson and snell in or run down to them how he wants the next 3-5 possessions to go offensively to properly take advantage of that mismatch.

But it's early in the season and he's still getting used to this team so.... :manny:

When Pops puts Kawhi on Steph to lock them up on defense and then Punish them in the post with LMA and Duncan on the other end.
Duncan's knees on defense trying to stifle a Draymond fastbreaking or close out on Barnes in the corner :francis:
Clippers won't do it but playing Josh Smith and Blake together should be something they try.
Who would Smith be coming in for?

I would say that the Bulls should have continued to feed Pau, but he was on his period tonight.

Parker
Green
Leonard
Diaw
Aldridge

Diaw would abuse the holy hell out of Barnes or iggy at the post

Aldridge would lure green out the paint

Green as the decoy at the arc

Parker slicing as usual

Leonard can shoot consistently from anywhere on the floor

And if we need to get someone in foul trouble we can sub in Ginobili to flop

The Cavs matched up well with them even when they were missing two of their best players. I think the Spurs create a mismatch with the Warriors because the Warriors don't have enough post defenders to match up with the Spurs' great post players. I think OKC could cause the Warriors some problems in spurts, if Westbrook and Durant are playing well. The Bucks have a great perimeter defense, but are weak in the post and don't score enough. The Clippers matched up well with them, but just couldn't score in crunch time.

Smith would come in for Deandre. Deandre ain't doing shyt on the court no way except dunking so why not bring Smith in? Or you could bring in Pierce

Lineup could be Cp3, Redikkk or Lance, Crawford, Smith or Pierce, and Blake

It's definitely worth a try.

Yep you can punish green if the big runs down the court and the team pushes it down and lets the big get deep in the paint. Then feed the big because they have deep post position.

Actually this is what the Cavs did in the finals with Moz and Tristen. Also run Curry in a two man game make his little ass work. The Cavs did that as well in the first game with Lebron and Irving.

This is actually a good match up because Diaw could guard Iggy.
