The way Dunkin Donuts/krispykreme throw out food

I know Whole Foods give away old foods for local food banks. A lot of grocery stores do too

If I remember correctly.. there was a supermarket/restaurant that wouldn’t throw their food away and instead gave it to the homeless/those in financial dire straits. However, they got sued I think over some health and safety bullshyt.

Long story short, it’s not worth the legal liability to give the excess food to those less fortunate.
This.

BUT when I drove for Nabisco they would give the excess cookies and crackers to Second Harvest and that would be busted open and a lil out outdated boxes
