The Frank Ocean-penned ballad which we all heard yesterday is actually a Bridget Kelly song. For those that remember BK, she sang "Empire State of Mind" with Jay-Z during his "Blueprint 3 Tour" back in '09 and at the memorable 9/11 show. She's currently apart of the Roc Nation roster so we expect to hear great stuff from her.


2.) The song created Frank because it was his highest/biggest song. It was re-released for him in 2012. Nostalgia Ultra came out as a download but no one cared that much about Frank, he was the singer in Odd Future. There are plenty other Odd Future cats who didnt take off. Thinking About You was the crossover success Def Jam wanted.

3. ) Being apart of Odd Future doesnt garuntee success; see anyone not named: Tyler, Hodgy, Earl & Frank....

I like his music a lot, what little there is of it, though 'Channel Orange' is somewhat overrated, with maybe 6 incredible songs, I think there is some behind the scenes issues with Frank, and why we don't get the music. I think he'll see when and if he does drop, that 4 years is a lifetime in music, and he has been lapped up by his peers in every considerable way in the time in between.

Why are people bringing up about him being emotional, he's an R&B singer lol been like that before he even came out. And I'm interested and will probably check when the album when it drop but I'm not the biggest fan of dude, I heard a couple songs from Channel Orange but never listened in full and he kills his features so I figure why not. I'm trying to understand the first half of this post....how many albums come out with not even 2 incredible songs? But we're calling Channel Orange overrated which in your opinion has six?

I think Channel Orange is considered what it should be...an amazing album that for real fans either lives up to, comes close to, or surpasses Nostalgia Ultra
