Ok fair enough, but I honestly didnt know Em name dropped him.I never said anything about 2003...only said he got the Em name drop that year. The Big L craze u are refering to that died around late 2000's is what I'mrefering to. Thats the hype that I say was pushed by Em. Now u may disagee with that...But my argument is that there was no Lord Finesse hype around that same time...No OC hype.....No AG hype......now if dudes wanna argue his death pushing him well then the question of well why did Soulja Slim have a #1 song after death yet wasnt getting that same hype as Big L ? and Em was still considered a god around this time so I'm saying that his promotion of L helped the online hype that u are refering to..... Late 2000's is when the world had access to youtube and smartphones.....the country wasnt fukking with the net like that till the Myspace/Youtube era....thats the era i'm specifically talking about even tho the Big L hype still lingers.
I agree that Lord FInesse didn't have any hype at all in the 2000s. Nor did OC, AG, Showbiz etc....DITC was known for 1 album in 2000, and I don't think it had any hype to it.
What I disagree with is that there was any hype to Big L after 2000 or 2001. This is just all off of memory for me....but all of his hype was immediately after his death for a year and it was all pushed by members of DITC. I never knew or thought that Em had anything to do with it, and I don't remember any resurgence of his hype in any years later after that.
