I think a lotta people didnt realize how hip hop was moving to the no samples thing and guys werent as nice as they are now with it. Most of the hate stems from no rza and no soul samples like that but idk this album was dope to me.
Was triflyn like an american cream team member or something?
Rae had the most energy hea ever had on this and dude kinda incapable of spitting wack shyt he just has a style thats incapable of sounding bad.

The table "moet got me actin like a fukkin goat". One of the best songs with dope masta killa verse. One of the better wu collabs during the second solo era. Had an omnious vibe on some godfather shyt. Simple synth again.
Friday was always one of my fav songs by him. Hes spitting. Cool lil loop of synth. Really fukk with it.
My fav dred was some darker piano shyt. Weaker beat by this guy compres tot he others but it set up a good raekwon story which complimented the beat perfect. Simplistic.

JURY one of my favs. Beat had a scarface synth aound. Simple but tye keyboard had a fly aound to it so it works. Rae again drops one of his great atorya.
All that i got is you pt 2 is better than most make it seem. Good joint ained at his mom. Again a loop by tha pop and vo giys who did the otyer songs im really not feelin but it works here. Just hard to outdo ghost AND rza using that classiv sample. If he woulda named it somethjng else it wouldnt have gotten quite as shyt on.
Power. Beat is too simple. I liked cream team too. Chip banks and superv were grade a wu affiliates. This reminds me of most the shyt they were rockin on at the time. I like the lyrics but not the beat.
Real life. This type of sinple works. That hip hop sample sinple that gives the beat a lil bibe that straight corny piano synth cant do. Produced by guy who did most of wu sybdicate album. I guess he got this beat from that crew
Casablanca one of my favs on album. Infinite arkz again. Dudes kill that synth sound and gave raes album a vibe i liked. This sound like the same vibe as the table and the jury.
Yae yo. Carlos 6 july is one of my fav underrated producers in the game. His work with wu and badboy is legendary and he gave out some real heaters. This song dont have a sample so maybe he handicapped a lil. This a good joint but not my fav.

Maybe got some havoc or a single rza beat or 4th disciple. Coulda had a real classic. Even the weak songs arent reall weak. That triflyn guy bats 50/50. The pop and V0 guys songs are bad xcept all i got is u 2.
Even if he woulda added some joints he did for mixtapes or whatever it woulda worked. Those 11 tracks above are real dope. The rest beats are just super lacking. Maybe add respect power which was by inf arkitekz on whiteboys soundtrack or the shyt on black n white soundtrack. He had wuite a few good mixtape joints at that time. Plus his shyt with slick rick and outkast. Fat joe. Rae was a monster in 9899

in my top 5 favourite hip-hop albums all time
Immob had some joints..production threw some people off but this was a nice little release..but we wanted that cuban lynx shyt man..

Sneakers & Forecast are cool too. Add Yayo and the rest of the album is musically trash...but lyrically Rae was killin it

Been listening to this lately. It's grown after God knows how many years. Sneakers, yayo, 100 rounds, live from NY, power are dope tracks. RZA BEGGED rae to let him produce lex Diamonds .
album is dope
album was decent but it suffers the same issue a lot of albums from that time had, that terrible early 2000s production.
