see this is where someone says something antiblack to make a point and get bushed

Explain to me how a cookout is different from say a Afro Colombian family in Guapi cooking their food on a grill outside with their family while playing music?

that’s like asking the difference between the russian and american military because they both use guns and bombs

or a charger vs a benz because they both have tires and engines

take this third world babble elsewhere brother

proms origins are in white debutante balls. proms were for the non-elite people and still are.

The tradition of proms evolved from debutante balls in the 18th and 19th centuries, and later from college and university formal dances in the late 19th century. The first documented American prom was in Harvard in 1879, according to Carolina Soma. These early proms were meant to teach students proper etiquette and manners.

and even still, the only contribition to "prom culture" that a certain demographic of black americans have made has been in the "ghetto" prom. since proms were to showcase etiquette, manners, and class and black american culture prides itself on rebelling against acts of "respectability" we see how the "ghetto prom" was born.

OP is a well known instigator, and uses provocative words in his thread titles to rile up TLR.

It’s a skill he’s honed and mastered over the past 10 or so years.

Breh, those look like American kids doing their prom thing.

That's influence, as it wasn't the decades of white proms they decided to emulate but the bombastic showstopper nature we (wrongly imo) put on it.

Now, prom being something from the debutante/cotillion angle means we were influenced first, but that's how ish works.

Please tell me, who the fukk have Africans ever influenced or even look at them as being influential?
Every time I see them, they imitate everything we do but try to shyt on us like they better than us.
Where do you think the style of wearing braids that millions of black women in America and around the globe wear came from? :mjlol:

Y'all still running with this goofy diaspora war shyt is sad

We are on the verge of being set back 60 plus years losing all the gains we fought for and we're worried about African teenagers going to prom as an indicator of 'stealing' our culture. How about we use our strength as FBA and find ways to get some money or work together to protect our rights. If culture is all we have to hang out hat on that speaks to a more existential issue.
