Production values the show is #1.
Cinematography and directing? No where near the top. It was shot fairly pedestrian. I'd put something stuff like "BCS", "Mr. Robot" and "Fargo" leagues above it.
Hell, a few more shows above it too. "The Haunting Of Hill House" ep with several one take shots >>>>>>>>>>>>>>> "GOT" as far as camera work and cinematography.

The way they shot the battle sequences in an episode like Battle of the b*stards to me was leagues above what I see in most films where it's just a CGI army clashing into each other.
The shows you named are good.. I'd say season 1 of True Detective is probably my favorite as far as cinematography goes.. that neighborhood one shot they did with the biker gang was immense

 weakest "event" episodes until that point.
		
 I was ready to put it up with The Wire for a min, now I don’t even recommend ppl to watch it if they ask
   The falloff was severe. Only show that started hot and fell off more was Lost.
