Its pretty nuts how much the seasons have shifted since the days of way back.

Obvious something is happening in that respect but I have my doubts its man made even though man collectively has zero respect for the planet that sustains the race. You'd think someone was destroying it on purpose so the meek inherit a bombed out, depleted shell when they're on to the next one.

Yes, UK is “only” 40 degrees or whatever Fahrenheit is.

But you need to remember, we’re a very traditionally built country with a lot of houses being from the 30’s-50s with pure brick construction and insulation. For example, a lot of US homes have internal stud walls made from wood partitions and plaster board. In the UK and many other places in Europe, our internal walls are solid masonry (cement, brick, plaster)

In addition, 99% of homes do no have air conditioning. The country is very northern so we’re built for winter and not summer.

Someone is comparing Texas summers to the UK, lol. UK is no where close to the equator compared to the whole USA. Even more so we are not even further south than Canada.

We’re also a very densely packed country and don’t have roaming open ranges or nothingness like the USA. Every corner of the UK is packed, so again this is completely different than what most of you have experienced.
While geography does play a considerable role, distance from the equator is not solely controlling the climate. UK would be a lot colder if not for the gulf stream. Compare UK temps to that of its latitudinal partner Newfoundland (and not even because London is a few degrees more northern), and its warmer. Yeah UK is not built for TX summers, but its not built for Canada winters either.

Yeah these homes are built of brick and cement with little insulation which means that even during winter the heat isn't contained well.

Yeah good points. UK is solely built for own weather and normally it has been fine in summer and winter.

It’s whenever we go over 30 degrees we start having issues where our roads melt, train tracks start to warp and bend and buildings have to be closed due to the heat

Facts. The same given temperature doesn't feel the same in different environments because of all kinds of other factors, notably how packed a place is, how green it is, pollution, air humidity, etc. 30 degrees in Paris is worse than 30 degrees on some beach in Normandy.

Damn I thought our 930pm sunsets in Seattle were the best you can get

The further north you go the later the sun sets in the summer...if it sets at all.

99% of houses here in the U.K. don’t have AC.

Lol same too damn hot to sleep
