Ya I didn't like it much at first but I was skipping around, playing half the song. Played it in full a couple times today and this shyt is dope. Few bangers on here and just a good album to vibe to. Not his best album but it will be my go to weeknd music for now

Overall this is far from my favorite from him and some of it comes off as straight boring to me but I like Heartless, Snowchild, Too Late , Escape From LA, In Your Eyes, Save Your Tears and Blinding light.

To me the rest of the album is whatever but I will say this album is what Kissland should have been. Some of it reminds me heavily of Kissland.

This narrative that I hate everything is bizarre. I spend thousands of dollars a year on physical music. I was a Weeknd Superfan right through Kissland. Matter of fact the last concert I went to was Weeknd at the Hollywood Cemetery like 8 years ago. His shyt been trash lately but there’s songs on this album I can play on repeat.

You can’t expect people who loved a certain style to love everything the person does. He went from a distinct Toronto sound to working with the same people as Backstreet Boys, Britney Spears, Taylor Swift, Meghan trainer and on. I wouldn’t be surprised if some Tanner from Disney created some of these songs, which isn’t necessarily negative if you like Tanner.

However, he found a lot better balance and creativity than on Starboy. I fukk with half of the album. The other half I could vibe with but won’t play again, that is nice expensive pop40 music that I would never put on, but wouldn’t mind it at a pre-party or in a cab.

i still havent heard the original... smh... i don’t listen to leaks... and i remember around BBTM era there were so many leaks of his floating around... but yeah that 2nd half of Acquainted is something else
