Album cover and the title got me optimistic we’re getting another classic.

Weeknd has been a favorite, maybe THE favorite new artist for me, since 2011, but I think he's slipped popularity wise, and you will see it with this album, but that's just my feeling, based on the reactions to those songs, both of which I liked, or found things about them to like. Blinding Lights is hopefully the dominant sound as far as the album, but I think his team felt the response was lukewarm, and pushed back the release. I am sure I will love it, or a portion of it, regardless.

But yeah, this is perfect or close, in terms of style and production, lyrics. Wow. Production is masterful. More graceful by far than something like Heartless, but more experimental and dark than Blinding Lights.
