I think it gets choppier after the first 3

Gasoline and How Do I Make You Love Me are near perfect to me, Take My Breath sounds good next to them too. The rest was a lot more inconsistent. Reminds me of Frank Ocean's Endless? was that what it was called? Some songs just don't work that well, clunky Wayne appearance, it's a lot less edgeless than "After Hours", he all but abandons the style of Escape From LA or Heartless.

Yeah. I will always appreciate the music he's given me over the last ten years, primarily the HoB trilogy. I'm good with that even if he never makes another album I enjoy. As it stands, this just isn't it. I don't mind the synth/80s thing. I don't even mind the pop sound. This just isn't enjoyable music to me. Outside of Starry Eyes, I didn't hear much of note here. More power to those who like it.

Picks up in the second half for sure. The writing on "Here We Go... Again" and "Starry Eyes" is right up my alley and sounds like Trilogy Abel:banderas:

I skimmed thru After Hours when it first came out and liked that better.

I Heard You're Married :ehh:

EDIT: Just finished listening. This is aight, far from being weak. But it doesn't quite hit the same as Tory's Alone At Prom

Man, this album has been growing on me a lot. I think it’s because its so damn cold outside, the sound & vibe of that album reflects that.

That 4 song stretch from Gasoline to Sacrifice is impeccable especially when you play it all the way through. The sequencing is :wow:

The album version of Take My Breath is incredible and is probably one of his best singles.

I also noticed after Quincy’s interlude the album slows down which it needed to because it was a fast wreckless ride.

Out of Time is great.

Here We Go Again was going great until Tyler ruined it.

Best Friend sounds like Old Weekend.

I like the first half more than the 2nd half but I feel that The Weeknd put out another good album but I’m not sure if it’s better than After Hours I’ll have to see.

Tory Lanez doesn’t have one original bone his body and people are really comparing him till to the weekend lol

This album is good.

imagine still wanting the weekend to make the same music he did in 2011
Controversial opinion but switching his style to the synths and 80's sound was the best thing he did for his career. He was running that style into the ground by the time Kissland came out. After Hours had all the sounds including his old sound and new and made his best album. This new one is growing on me for sure.
