I would argue that Bruno Mars is probably even more talented than MJ. He sings better and is an overall better vocalist. MJ got the moves and is obviously a better dancer but that's where it stops. Bruno can dance, sing, write, plays a couple instruments and is a hell of a performer. MJ had people writing his songs and choreographing his dances/performances.

Its been well documented (a book by MJs engineer Bruce Swedien) that MJ was very hands on/involved in the creative process when it came to his music. He couldn't play the instruments sure, but he had an ear like say a Dr. Dre, or a Kanye.....where he knew what he wanted sonically.

I cant believe how amazing that last album was.

His albums are hit and miss to me. But that joint hit hard in every which way. Undeniably a modern day classic album. Sad that the rollout was trampled by covid.

doubt he can repeat that. Lets hope it comes close.

The irony in all of this is that he has MJ in his avi.

We’ve had plenty of artists as talented as and more talented as Michael.

But Michael could put it together in a complete package and had a knack for picking the right team and right music. Also had an incredible sense of what works musically AND visually. He had presence.
