Fallon is corny,but his segments are on point,he doesnt offend anyone,everyone likes him, and hes safe. He hits all the right buttons to be successful where he is.he owes his life to lorne Michaels .i don't know, maybe they satisfied with what they doin' so long as they checks lookin' the way they want them too

Colbert is too political and smart to ever be on top. Dude has ceos,lawyers, specialty professions as guests. Average person doesnt care.
Kimmel is too abrasive and cold for most people. Conan fell off and even at his peak was niche.
Fallon is literally perfect for this role,he has such broad appeal and lets his celebrity guests shine that he will probably dominate late night until he retires. I do give him props for having the roots and he always has great musical guests
