Maybe if his debut is better than those 3 dream rip off mixtapes I'll consider him for a 6th man spot. bytch :piss:

My Pops Forever RIP
I agree on all that. But if you read around here, a lot of folks are clamoring for these artists to go indie. The problem is when an artist is indie, that's even LESS outlets for their music to get out there. Target and Best Buy aren't stocking many indie albums unless you cut a distribution deal with them. iTunes is obviously the way to go but without a really good promo game, iTunes can't really do much to push your sales without outside ground work.

So add all that up... rap artists are left out to dry in a lot of cases. Meanwhile a rock or pop band can be made to be larger than life with every release. Word to Swift and One Direction. Hip-hop has to find that market they had a lock on back in '01-'05 again.

Mumford & Sons is on the same label as OFWGKTA, Childish Gambino, and Cinematic Music Group. They did 500+ K their first week. Even Adele, while she's on a major as well, also happens to be on of the biggest indie labels in the world (XL Recordings). Fueled By Ramen, another indie punk rock label that found a distributor and blew up. Those fans buy it anyway. Hip-hop fans just don't support as much other than Mac Miller. I hope TDE can have similar success.

Urban music fans are the only group of people who focus on sales.

Just shut the fukk up and enjoy the music and if you like them that much buy their shyt and go to their shows.
