What I always appreciate about the Weeknd is he comes across very genuine, and humble, soft spoken, even. This was apparent when I saw him last year at the Forum, he carries himself with tact and a grace that eludes other acts, on his level. He's a star, but doesn't act like one, in all the negative aspects. I don't really want to run this all the way through, it's very corporatized/sanitized interview, but I also know Weeknd to be intelligent, and thoughtful, and I've never seen him come across as arrogant.

You could tell The Weeknd is a bright guy, who also understands the situation and is aware. Very cerebral but down to earth outside of his art.

From this interview the one impression that stood out is that he's a student that learns and studies his craft, dude has a rare innate growth mindset in an industry where there's a clear lack of it. One of his next two will cement his legacy. Beauty Behind the Madness introduced him to the mainstream, this album cements himself as an established artist and not a one-hit wonder, and either the next one or the one after will be historic.
