the truly sad thing is we don't learn this until we're adults. and some of us never learn it at all. Chancellor Williams constantly comes back to this point in his book.
the bolded should've been the foundation of every young Black child's curriculum from the time we begin school until we leave. it's a point that should be reemphasized over and over and over again, constantly drilled into the young person's head, with all the various ways whites have used to destroy our growth, with the many examples from our past - from their legal system, to them running highways and railroads through once thriving Black communities, their medical systems, to outright rapine, pillaging and murder.
And this should've been done globally, because wherever Black people are in large numbers our stories are similar and white people's history has been the same everywhere they've gone.
