Ant Banks production at that time was unfu*kwittable (and yes, I understand that PeeWee and others helped create those sounds)...
I didn't find out about all of that until later. I was sitting there thinking it was all Banks and was like he should def be in the producer on the mic convo:dwillhuh:, him and EA Ski were my dudes

This was my joint:banderas:

I still give Banks a TON of credit though.....he was the producer, not the musician.....he didn't need to play the damn bass, that's what the musicians were for. He just brought it all together...plus Banks production was nice before he hooked up with all of them...

This is one of my favorite Banks produced songs:

Sh*t......

Dame said he was about to sign him. Big L with the Def Jam distribution would've been a sure thing back in 99.

Hmm idk man

Only song I remember from him that got a lot of love was mvp :yeshrug:

Dude was nice but I'm not sure he had mainstream appeal

Guess we'll never know

To me if The Big Picture album dropped on Rocafella he would've blew up. Jay made Beans a gold artist so he could've at least did that for Big L who was nicer than Jay. I was just listening to this yesterday

I became a Goldy fan after I first seen this shyt on The Box.

I caught the 40L to Eastmont to buy his album the first day it dropped because of the way he spit on this shyt.

My ex-wife leaning into some cats car at 1:26 in this.....LOL!!

And Goldy killed this sh*t too.....I ride the north & the west-side, but live in the middle-east..."

L had a Jay cosign plus he took Jay under his wing. L was better than anyone Jay had in his stable reasonable doubt era on down. That ass whooping Jay received from L live on the radio forced Jay to up his skills and help create the Jay we saw on reasonable doubt. Dame knew better :lolbron:
