East isn't much better..

Heat have a nice deep group of role players along with Jimmy but they remind me of the Raptors 2019. Everything has to go right for them.

Sixers are done if they max out Harden.

Nets are relying on Ben Simmons of all people to be the 3rd man.

it's Mil conference to lose most years...

That’s not entirely true at all as their core going forward has questions as well. Portis, Lopez and Middleton are all due extensions in the next couple of years and they don’t have the flexibility or assets outside of that to get better.

I really like Minnesota in the medium term. Problem is their young core really only has Ant. I think they can be a legit contender, but they got to act on this window fast.

However, that Rockets team:
KPJ
Green
Sengun
whatever rookie they draft this year

Is gonna be a contender sooner than later. Not to mention their bench got some really good players: Christopher, Garuba, etc.

They literally can make the most out of any of the top 3: Chet, Jabari Smith or Banchero.

Any of them would fit like an absolute glove and round out the core. Their situation is like Cleveland's and Toronto's last year: everything in place for a top 3/4 pick to thrive.

There will be some rookie in the next two drafts who will shake up all of this.

ESPN draft guys seem to be confident Victor Wembanyama is a future MVP, but even if he pans out when will it impact the West? Maybe 4-5 years from now

So it comes down to the Grizzlies and Pelicans.

Both have big time young talents and picks to improve their situations. Both teams are ascending as long as Ja and Zion can avoid further injuries. I already mentioned the Clippers and Nuggets, but these two teams can add to what they already have and make a bigger impact sooner than later. If they can't, the Dubs are gonna have another 3 year period where nobody's fukking with them.

I'm just hoping the Flying Buffalo can give us 60 games next year.

For the last time.

Zion DOESN'T want to be in NO or play for them :snoop:
I miss the neg button.

KAT had an All NBA year this season as well so you have to include him in that list as well. Problem is DLo and the fact that he’s not good enough to be part of their big three core. What they really need to do is capitalize on cap space before Ant’s rookie max extension kicks in.

Houston isn’t going to take that next step as long as their defense is ass cheeks and Banchero is only gong to make that worse.

Lol @ people hedging on new talent. What new talent? Ja Morant.. Ant-Man... Zion maybe... that's the new talent.

Nobody in this draft class stands out. You believe Banchero or the twig are gonna run the league? :mjlol:

Let's assume that's true. It can limit what they can be, but in the short term, he's gonna be there and he's gonna have to play well to convince anyone that he'll live up to what he was supposed to be.

If he still wants to go somewhere else and be a loser then that's on him. All they can do is add onto what they already have and they'll have the picks to try.

Short term? breh Zion aint tryna play for the Pels PERIOD.

When Zion wants to play he gets LEAN like THIS

If rockets get Banchero they have 1A/1B with Green & Banchero. Then hopefully they tank and get the number#1 pick and draft Wembanyama.

PG: KPj
SG: Green
SF: Tari
PF:Banchero
C:Wembanyama
That a play in team.

Balance is restored. No more "weak East" and "bloodbath West", which for the latter, was exaggerated in terms of actual contenders.

Each conference has 3 teams that could theoretically get it done and 2 more tough outs.
