Entire thread premise is flawed. Its still too early to weed out actual title contenders. I honestly believe that come All-Star break, the Clippers, Warriors, Thunder and Spurs will be title favs. You can throw Houston in the mix as well but no one takes them seriously. The East only has ONE title contender. The bottom 3 teams in the West could be playoff teams in the East.

Lakers would not the playoffs in the DLeague

Mavs took a step back, Portland got their roster straight up obliterated, Memphis and Houston getting older... That leaves GS, Spurs, OKC depending on KDs health and the clippers

It's less than 10 games, too early to make predictions like that. Some of the current top 8 teams will be outside of that by the end of the season anyway.

However the west really looking weaker than last year. Still if the teams come to the playoffs healthy enough this should be even more fun than on previous playoffs. The presence of okc, spurs and warriors in the playoffs is gonna make it enjoyable and if we get to see them three having a big fight in the playoffs then that's all I could really hope from the west. Oh and hopefully clippers and rockets playing nice too, but we all know next year some team is going to be injured again in the playoffs.

I would say cavs will have a harder time reaching the finals but then I remember they went there easily with Lebron, injured kyrie and role players lol
