Entire thread premise is flawed. Its still too early to weed out actual title contenders. I honestly believe that come All-Star break, the Clippers, Warriors, Thunder and Spurs will be title favs. You can throw Houston in the mix as well but no one takes them seriously. The East only has ONE title contender. The bottom 3 teams in the West could be playoff teams in the East.

Now, you are right. But who knows how well they'll be playing come playoff time. If they get hot at the right time in April....

On the whole, I agree. If we're being extremely generous, there are 3.5 squads that can win the conference (that 0.5 depends squarely on Durant's health). All the other teams got old and their windows shut. That's basketball
