#operationcatchup is off to a rough start... Currently playing:

3. Assassin's creed black flag
4. Mafia 3
5. Shadow of Mordor

About a third of the way through all those, just copped witcher 3, and my madden and 2k obligations are taking more of my time. Need more hours in a day.

3. Nioh (PS4)

Positives:

• One of the greatest combat systems ever.
• Good weapon variety plus magic and ninja.
• Addictive loot system
• Great level design and location variety
• 90% of the bosses are exciting, particularly the one on one human ones.
• In depth crafting, leveling and upgrade systems.
• The revenant stuff is cool.

Negatives:

• Trash story/dialogue
• Mediocre graphics/soundtrack
• Enemy variety is good, except that the game is long as fukk so you end up fighting a lot of the same enemies.
• Lacks the atmosphere and uniqueness of something like Bloodborne.
• I like the multi-player but right now it is pretty limited.

Rating: 8.5/10. Exceptional gameplay, above average in other aspects.
