Finally fired up UC4 on my pro. Got to chapter 8 in a few hours. Will probably stay up til 6am getting to level 16 and then finish it up tomorrow.

So far, it's kinda...I dunno...more of the same. The graphics are gorgeous, but nothing has wowed me yet. I realize I'm only like a third of the way through, so hopefully it gets better. We'll see, but right now it's sitting on an 8/10 right now for me.

Maybe I had too high of expectations :ld:

Right now I'm on Mafia III after leaving it sitting on the shelf for 2 months. The missions in story mode become redundant after awhile and I think the story drags out longer than it should.

I got too many games still sitting in my cabinet and games on my hard drive that I haven't beaten or even downloaded yet. I think this year I'm not going to be purchasing a lot of games.

It doesn't pick up until like halfway through.

Even so, I was underwhelmed a bit.

It's still great but it is just more of the same.

I'm done with the series probably won't even grab that new dlc. It's reached a saturation point.

And it's not as good as the last of us.

Man, I've been sleeping on UC4. I'm on chapter 20. Gonna beat it tonight (thank you MLK day). shyt is so fun, and the story is better than I expected.

I gotta say...I dunno if it's my TV, PS4 Pro, or HDR, but this is the prettiest game I've ever played. The graphics are amazing (and I normally play 4/5K, all ultra, on my PC). Goddamn amazing :ohlawd:

Beat I Am Setsuna this morning. I enjoyed it, but the plot towards the end was kind of rushed. A lot got revealed right as you're about to head to the final fight. A lot of things basically just got left unanswered.

I did like the ending tho...it fit the vibe of the game.

Next up, Titan Fall 2 and Rocket League until Friday. Gravity Rush 2:yes: Its not a huge file so i'm not gonna trip over the preload not starting yet.

I was saying this all last year but dudes were insinuating that as me stanning.

Game looked incredible even on the base PS4. It doesn't look that much different on the Pro since it's merely a 1440P res bump.

Two more finished.

2. Trails of Cold Steel II (PSV)
  • If you didn't know, Trails is like the standard bearer these days for dope traditional JRPGs. It does the genre better than most - in-depth plot based around war and politics, satisfying combat, good side quests and it at least tries to give depth to its characters even if they seem trope-ish at first glance. The second one is more of the same, but less difficult while halfway through the game opens up significantly (typically its linear). All in all these are dope games that every JRPG fan should play although the plot is very very very slow to get going. 8.5/10
3. The Last Guardian (PS4)
  • Just finished this. Beautiful game brehs. Those last couple of hours were the best gaming experience I've had in years. The ending brought out all the feels. :mjcry: The world, the music, the atmosphere and the level design are all top notch while Trico is one of the greatest protagonists in gaming history. Unfortunately it has sporadic technical issues but by and large they don't leave you frustrated and are easy to ignore. 9/10, special experience.
  • Going to have to go back, play Ico, SOTC and then TLG sometime in the future. :takedat:

Now I've got GR2 to play and Danganronpa 2. FFXV is never getting finished brehs. :francis:

I'm on mission 4 in TLG.
Got kinda boring but I guess I gotta be patient. Should I just knock it off real quick?
