Loss of obvious potential always bothers people more...which is why athlete and young student death bothers more than a young gangster or drug addict. Their tragedy was realized when their life went awry. Lewis and bias were right at the cusp of greatness which is tougher to stomach.
Breh, they're good at basketball, Thats it. I love sports just as much as everyone on here, but we need to stop putting athletes on a pedestal. Being good at a sport doesn't make someone special


Who ever said that Lewis' death was comparable to King or Evers? Did I miss the Reggie Lewis holiday or the college named in his honor? This is a sports message board. Is the death of an athlete in his prime not a noteworthy topic to discuss in this forum?
