Brehs who watch this what am I missing? I can't get through more than 2 episodes in season 1 and I'm trying to watch season 2 and this might be worse. What is it that I'm missing here?

s1, boring overrated mid & the dad + the head of the hotel made it tolerable amid the sea of sludge. s2, amazing & could've been perfect if jennifer coolidge wack neurotic character didn't exist. however, i get it was needed for the finale. its an anthology series so i'd skip to s2. about to watch s3.
I've not revisited any of the seasons. But, I binged watch season 1 in a couple of days so I think that has always buoyed my memories of that one. I liked season 2 but watching it week to week it wasn't a chore, but I don't recall liking it as much as s1. That said I've never hated Jennifer Coolidge more than I did in season 2. I refuse to watch stuff with her in it now, as I feel like she's been playing some combination of the same character since 2 broke girls and I'm just over it. S3 was fun but took a bit to hit its stride.
true, s2 centers around intimacy & there's a repetitive undercurrent as the show highlights habit. i binged it & loved how everyone goes to any lengths to satisfy desires. mia starts of "pure" but by ep 3 she says fukk it, i need this career, i'll whore. the hotel head took 1 ep to come to terms that her subject of affection was straight & considers mia's proposition. harper for all her "conscious" talk exposes how base she is. will & daphne made this season for me. they're the most self aware people but hide behind this mask of contentment. jen: was wack in both seasons & idky she won emmy. audiences & critics seem to love neurotic wounded birds & she reminds of phoebe waller bridge's on fleabag. unlikeable but somehow gets props.

Was just in the French Riviera a few months ago. Curious what city/hotel they plan to use, but it certainly has the money and glamour to be great.
white lotus is a show made for the same demographic it mocks. its polished cinematography, stereotypes for characters & painfully boring beats that needs shock value. outside s2, the praise heaped on its themes & writing is literary masturbation. if this was peacock or netflix, this show would've died in s1
s3 did the impossible & made me find walter GOATgins dull. worse yet the writers are aware of the character cliches. his bucktooth bytch mentions the "balding loser who uses wealth to flaunt his partner". this role has been there since s1 & shifts slightly based on age or gender. s1 had it & sucked. s2 touched on it for 1 episode, abandoned it. "the bad mistrusting female friend" s1 had it with sydney sweeney & her bestie. s2? none of that lucia and mia were tight. if you wanna argue cameron & ethan, that plot line is killed within 1 episode, as he confronts his wife then him. daphne's & harper's betrayal? 1 episode, 2 if you coun't the reveal & she doesn't dwell on it but instantly gets her vengeance - its not 4+ episodes of gossiping. if not for saxxon and his family this season would've been below 1.
