OK we disagree then. That's how Trump beat the entire Republican field and Hillary. He is posing as a 'straight shooter' and he basically proved political speak is unnecessary. All the buzz words, posture and mealy mouth double talk is dead. He killed that playbook. That's very significant IMO, specifically when we are talking about winning elections.

It's basically a cult. They're irrational and no amount of politics would ever convince them to stop supporting Trump. And as long as Trump has high approval amongst GOP voters, GOP politicians will ride for him regardless of their personal feelings.


The only way to get Trump out is to get non-Republicans (Dems, Independents, and nonvoters) to turn out, or if Mueller has something big on him. Trying to convince Republicans to be rational is a waste of time.

I would just like to add maybe the country crashed and burned even before Trump? The US is operating seven drone wars right now, assisting in a Yemen genocide and is actively ruining the Venezuelan economy. And here at home Black people get killed by the authorities without consequence, wages are stagnant, the income gap is larger than the guilded age, 60% of the country can't afford a $1000 emergency and over 50% make $30K or less. All of this happened or was in the process of happening before the Trump presidency.
