Berbers are NOT a homogeneous group. There are some mixed ones, black and white. Though they have a homogeneous origin in East Africa. Most of the Berbers in Morocco like I stated are mixed due to foreign(European/Middle Eastern) immigration. Whether it be invasion, slavery or just plain migration. Berbers are not even limited to Morocco.

This is an important point. Anyone who tells you that Berbers were or are a race is wrong. Similarly, anyone who tells you that Hannibal was white or that he was Black has no clue what they're talking about.

Is the bolded some strawman? When did I say I wanted to be a Berber or a Moor??? I'm simply an African American/Haitian descent who has an interest in general African history. I clearly know I am not a Moor. There's a 99% chance that I am not even descendant from Moors/Berbers. So what was the point of that?

I pointed out Berbers are not a homogeneous group because there are still black ones today, since you said Berbers are not black. Correct me if I am wrong.

And how am I deluding myself and others? Can you elaborate? Can you post your own material that refutes the stuff I posted on this thread about the Berbers/Moors. I already know for the most part that modern day Berbers are diverse and mixed; that's not saying anything new.

As for Hannibal...There are really no historical records/descriptions of Hannibal's race. He could have been black, white, middle eastern, mixed,etc.

Sparsely populated doesn't mean no one was there. But I would say since the Holocene by nomadic Berbers. IMO Morocco would be densely populated by Berbers during the Almoravid period. This is just my opinion.

They were some popular jawns and this practice of enslaving them was going on until the first civil war in America. The DNA is def diluted.

You also have to remember some of them Morocco and other North African invaders who were the new Arabs (mixed) enslaved Africans and castrated the men which led to them raping n breeding the woman.

Like I said they were displaced similar to how the Khoisan were in South Africa. Most were pushed from the coast. The people who occupied Tichitt Walata were the Mande Sonnike people who now live further south then use to. Tichitt Walata was one of the earliest urban settlements in the Sahara/Niger region.
