You left A LOT of people out of that stupid list that will be just fine. 99% my ass

Main ones suffering will be the youngs n lils

if we being real, the main ones thats gonna suffer are the old head rappers who tour to put food on the table, not the youngs and lils who tour to buy jewelry and designer. the lil niccas will be straight just off the streaming numbers alone.

when this is all over, the young dudes gonna pick right back up where they left off at the beginning of the coronavirus. merch, features, walk-thrus gonna be back up running.

its the old heads flying to the UK to do a $5,000 show and net $3,200 who are gonna be hurting all summer.

....... the lil niccas will be straight just off the streaming numbers alone...................

How/Why does this fallacy continue to live?
NO-ONE in rap is good off of streaming numbers alone.
There is no data to show/prove otherwise.
Millions of streams might pay one month of rent in NYC or Cali
maybe cover a couple months in ATL but without a live show or walk-thru or tour to back it up.....
these lil nikkas will be back on the block serving and finessing fast

Will the music stars and athletes and actors, etc... that receive all this completely unwarranted, completely unnecessary praise and adoration be humbled by this and learn something from it? How insignificant what they do is in the grand scheme of things and how easily it can be taken away and to remember they're not worthy of worship and praise because they're simply humans like everyone else out here? The people/fanatics holding them in that regard should learn something too from all this. Just a thought, sometimes being humbled is what human beings need to grow

It all depends on who's living beyond their means and who has money stashed away. Liquid.

SAN ANTONIO SPURS NY DIVISION
The ones that’ll eat well this year imo are the ones that sell a lot of physical copies. Like, the margins on vinyl are really good, and some of the indie artists that are able to do limited pressings on vinyl and sell them at a high price will probably continue to eat well this year. Ie. your Roc Marci type dudes.

but a lot of artists are gonna have to think outside the box this year.

I hate that people are going to suffer (physically and financially) from this, but I’m interested to see if it causes any innovations or creative new practices in the music business.

Do you think the record labels are gonna use the virus to try and extract even more percentages from future artists?

I know these labels are under companies that have shareholders and they dictate alot of stuff
