You getting it to play or collect? If it's the former...both are pretty wack in terms of an actual game (2 is worse than 1 though)...way overpriced...the G&W ball shyt is nice though...I have that shyt on display along with some other club nintendo shyt I bought and all the Plat prizes so far.

I do like how they offer some (3)DSware/VC games as shyt to buy now...I bought a good portion of them w/ the coins...the other shyt I couldn't care less about...been tempted w/ that shirt though.

I think the Wii was a bad gamble because it was short sighted vision by Nintendo...the Wii U not selling is proving my point you fukking moron. The casuals were not going to buy a Wii U no matter what Nintendo did...in fact many thought it was just a controller for the Wii. A majority of the core audience is NOT buying the Wii U because of the direspect. Changing things up for the casuals and expecting to buy into it on a gen by gen cycle is ridiculously stupid...this is not a casual market...its a gamer market.

Casuals go for cell phones these days, but of course you wouldn't understand that. I bet the nextbox and ps4 bench the Wii U sales easy if they can keep up with demand by month 1.

Right now their brand is being dragged through the mud but we've seen consoles dig themselves out of holes. They obviously have an uphill battle but we won't know if the gamble failed until this time next year.
The bad press is going to keep coming until E3(or when they actually drop an exclusive that gets more buzz instead of constantly delaying them). If Nintendo can get their head out their ass and have a decent E3(not just announce everything on Nintendo Direct) and a great 4th quarter, then they can right the ship.
Fan boys and ppl that have to have the newest hardware are the only ppl that cop consoles at launch. If they have some legit games and a price cut while their competitors have all these huge 3rd party games that are already on last gen consoles then they have a puncher's chance.

Your post shows their biggest problem. Nintendo needs to figure out a way to get ppl to buy some of these games. More situations like this and what happened with Rayman Legends will continue until the do.

gamecube wasnt really wack, it was more powerful than PS2 and was one of the most durable products ive ever seen.

I don't know how viable an option it is, but what I've done is just buy some shyt(ty) that's on sale for dirt cheap, take the code and pawn the game off to relatives...it's nice now that you can get coins from third party games...so if there's some bullshyt sale, that's some easy coins

yeah, when i saw it during e3 i had no idea what was under the hood, so i stayed optimistic even though the launch titles looked weak. but it wasnt long before it was certain that nintendo thought a tablet was a good excuse for very weak hardware

to make it even worse, i was hoping aliens: colonial marines was going to make the best use of that tablet and be a killer app

Well it did launch with a Mario game but the real problem is the system feels like it came out too late if you get what I mean. When you pick up the tablet controller, it's not something novel. It's something you've probably seen for the past few years. Hell cell phones been able to do the whole asymmetrical thing for years. That's already a wasted opportunity because that isn't convincing enough to deter gamers away from PS3/360 games for WiiU versions.

Next up you have the issue of the hardware being outdated. I played a demo of the Sonic and All Stars racing and was disgusted at how ugly it looked. Now had I played it for PS3/360 and it looked the same that'd be reasonable given how old the hardware is. Now you look back and realize you're in 2013 and are using a product that is months old and it has graphics that are on par with consoles that came out almost 8 years ago.

It's like me spending $400 on a phone and it's specs are somewhat akin to a N-gage or old ass boost mobile phone but because it has some weird gimmick, it caused the price to be so high. That's the WiiU in a nutshell. Had this system came out in 06 it would've been straight but the system came out too damn late.

I don't think Nintendo's problem is hardware. Their strength is games and that's what they haven't delivered. I was looking at the list of games on Metacritic and it's trash. Most of the best games are ports.

Look at the other Nintendo console considered a "failure," the Gamecube (I'm not even counting the Virtual Boy ). It is the only console that didn't launch with a main Mario or Zelda. The Wii at least had it's own version of Twilight Princess for hardcore gamers, while Wii Sports sold the system to casuals. Now the Wii U has nothing for either crowd. New Super Mario Bros. is not gonna sell a system.

You can also look at the DS and 3DS which were at first considered failures and they were up against more powerful hardware. But then they got games people wanted to play and the DS crushed the PSP and the 3DS is crushing the Vita.

If Nintendo had released a strong launch lineup and the system still didn't sell, then there would be cause for major concern. But they delivered trash and their sales are trash as a result. I hope they come with some heat at E3 to compete with the PS4 and Durango but all I know of that is coming out this year is Pikmin 3.
