This was a good response by DL. Chris isn't going to be able to do comedy for the foreseeable future cause people are going to show up for the spectacle, they aren't there to support him. You can hear it in the audio from the standup he did this week by the audience's reaction, they started laughing and he didn't even tell a joke yet.

I saw Chris last November, he was working out new material for his upcoming Netflix special. I hope he already shot it because this situation is going to force him to add another 30 minutes to what he's been trying to fine-tune for the past year.

Comedians have gone soft with all of the "it could be me next" bullshyt. It could have always been you. The fact of the matter is that guys like Will Smith have always been a safe joke. If he's willing to come up there and slap someone who else is willing to do the same? If Chris Rock made a joke about trans people he would have gotten slapped in a different manner, so he didn't. I mean you have to remember the Coli was among those people clowning him. Certain individuals society feels like have no right to defend themselves or lash out after the abuse they've received. Will Smith is one of those individuals.
