The battery life on the lumia phones is about the same as other smartphones. I only played with the Lumia 1020 phone briefly, but all signs are that its the best camera in a phone by far. The shutter speed is a bit slow. I am pretty sure HHL4E doesn't own the 1020How is the battery life on these phones? And I don't care if HipHop owns the phone or not, but I wouldn't mind seeing some real world photos from that camera. I'm interested to see what they look like. Outside of megapixels, what are the other specs for the cam. Aperture? Shutter speed etc.
The only real criticism I'll give about the review is one that I've seen in other Windows phone reviews. Don't act like the people are wrong for wanting more apps. I'd say save the disdain for whosever fault it is, whether its app devs or MS, for the reason those "hot apps" aren't on that platform.
Now, me personally, I like Nokia. My last phone before I got my first smartphone was a Nokia and I loved it. I don't have a problem with Windows Phone either, I just feel like there is no real reason for me to switch from my Android device.
As far as the app argument, I personally think that argument will fall away since the advances in HTML5 are coming quickly and responsive design is starting to take over. There is really no incentive for developers to limit it on one platform unless its games.
As far as switching from Android, it really depends on what kind of user you are. I mean if you are not into a crazy amount of apps and prefer a simple approach to a smartphone, then WP8 is great. Personally I would buy a cheap Windows Phone 7.8 device and play with it. Depends on what carrier you are on. If you are on AT&T try to grab the LG Quantum which you can pick up for about $50 out of contract.
