Why do I have to make a thread about every single thing?
I don't stan consoles. I'm a video game fan. When I see something I have an opinion about I speak on it.
Never said anything about stanning consoles. You feeling guilty? That wasnt my point at all.
And no you don't have to make a thread about every one. But if this is a practice you don't like it seems you would speak out against the practice itself instead of singling out one game.
This practice is most certainly deceitful. It's all standard marketing used to reel in the sheep.
How is it NOT deceitful? ESPECIALLY in the case of the OP.
First there's not a huge difference between the versions. I could see if there was a huge difference in the look or the mechanics of the game. The differences aren't even something the mainstream can see. Especially considering most of them aren't even watching it in conditions that would give them the ability to see the differences. Second this is an old build that doesn't even look as good as the final, if anything they are deceiving in the opposite direction.
On the other hand I've seen trailers that have print in the bottom stating that this footage is not in game or from the actual console, or from a PC build etc etc.
Sometimes, but most times no. Especially a Pre-release press demo. They don't even have a console specific demo to show off. But with these marketing deals they have to pretend that other versions don't exist. It happens with literally EVERY one of these games that have an exclusive marketing deal.
You also have to define witch hunt. One thread from me, a person who chances are you will never meet is not a witch hunt.
I was refering to the overreaching "controversy". You wouldn't have made this thread if the witch hunt didn't bring it to your attention.
