He ought be ashamed tweeting that out knowing it's bullshyt. that shyt was not running in any normal way. There's no way an open world game is looking like A Plague Tale Requiem. They know we're gonna forget all about that clip when the game is closer to release.
Remember the Witcher 3 gameplay reveals :mjlol: The final product wasn't 50% as good looking.

I doubt it's running on PS5 like they said, but I've posted pics of "Dragon's Dogma 2", "Black Myth: Wukong", and "Expedition 33", which are all Unreal Engine 5 and they look similar to this. I have a GTX 4080 Super.

TYRONE GA!
Unreal is like a lowkey monopoly for modern AAA gaming development in this present era

Building/maintaining entire game engines is super expensive and resource-intensive and with Unreal devs just have to pay their fees/royalties and not have to worry about that. I read somewhere like 25-30% of your staff has to be allocated for it if you go with an in-house engine instead of an Unreal, Unity, etc. Seeing CDPR make the switch after investing so much into RED was surprising tho, you'd figure they'd stick with it since Cyberpunk is super on point now.

Gonna come down to the game devs to really make it shine because everybody using the same engine will inevitably make everything feel “sterile” after a while, though you can argue that that's already happening

Some companies jumped on the train early having their own in house development game engines. EA had DICE repurpose Frostbite into something they could use for all of the games they publish.

Sony's studios seem to have their own in house shyt with collaboration from their other devs. Naughty Dog has their own, Santa Monica has their own, Polyphony Digital has their own, Insomniac has their own, and of course Decima.

But I'm sure others have done the math and said it's cheaper to use UE5 versus creating/upkeep on their own proprietary shyt I guess. :yeshrug:

Wow this game looks insane, they are saying that was running on the base PS5 can’t even imagine what it would look like on the pro.
