Henry Cavill honestly exist in a very special space in the Hollywood acting world. I'm guessing he's dropping The Witcher roll to go after the DC Superman bag?
That's definitely going to hurt the series.
But I'm not too bothered by it honestly, the show wasn't all that to me to begin with. A little too campy. Watchable, but nothing amazing.
Kind of hurts the other actors and crew though. Sucks for them.
Good chance the next season will be the last. The ratings are about to drop horribly. A lot of people watched The Witcher just for Henry Cavill and his aesthetic and love for the IP.
Here I was thinking this show was going to go the long run all the way into like a season 7 or 8 with all the material they have in the books. Not anymore.

Iirc, lead writer said they had material for six seasons but because of this shakeup I'm sure season 4 will be it's last.
