Nah... I loved the 1970's version. This new one to me couldn't even begin to touch the old one even with the new bells and whistles.

Loved the original and this one measured up in most ways. Set design, costuming, and makeup was next level. Singing was top notch, mostly. I was especially impressed with Ne-Yo and David Allen Grier. It better get some Emmy noms.
The original was on a few weeks back. Glad I DVR'd it

I couldn't get into it. I mean, i liked it. but i love "The wiz" with Diana and Michael better. maybe I'm being biased because of the nostalgia.
