I've been in maybe 50 to 60 or something fwbs and relationships.

There's a whole science to it:

The general principle is that when a woman loves you more, she will do everything to impress you and step her game up more in every way possible (better sex life, wants to get in better shape, financially grow, etc...).

When a women does not love you as much as you love her, she isn't motivated to be better because she knows that you're not going anywhere so her value will depreciate over time.
