And Japan scores! Australia starting to crumble in the most crucial minutes. Fatigue may be a factor for this Australia team as they've been chasing Japan for most of the game. Japan is so dangerous inside the box offensively and defensively. They know how to weave their way in to score and they know how to crowd the box defensively.

And that is game! Japan played an impressive game with their ability to pass and create space which gives them many chances to score. They also played well inside the box area as they had multiple chances to score. They are the fastest team left in the tournament so they give themselves a lot of chances on offense. One thing I'll say is that they don't really have an imposing presence like, I can't put my finger on it. They've been a bit underwhelming. I guess it doesn't really matter though as they're through to the semi-final.

Australia played a good game, they just had no offensive flow at all, on top of Japan having possession of the ball most of the time. Australia was pretty much playing on their heels this entire game as Japan was coming at them through multiple angles. You can only defend that type of offense for so long. I think that If Australia scored first, they would've won this match. All in all, they had a good showing this tournament. They will definitely be a stronger team in the next World Cup.

Listening to these national anthems I have to laugh, I remember how hype Brazil was during their anthem, just for the whole country to have it's soul snatched by Germany :banderas:

I watched that massacre live on tv....man, talk about a blood bath. I though Germany was going to put up 15 goals the way they were playing. I've never seen a team give up like that Brazilian team did.

I think Canada can still get back into it; they've had decent chances do far

That is if they can settle their nerves first. Sinclair has to get involved in the offense if they are to to make a comeback. England needs to keep applying that pressure. They've come out with great energy so far.
