Wearing Lions gear when it wasn't cool
A few questions.
How has everyone been truly digesting all of this? We are living in a time when the civilized world, for extents and purposes, just stopped. March 2020 is, for lack of a better term, a lost month in the annals of history.
Even as I keep some routine to maintain some sense of normalcy in these abnormal times, I'm trying to remain cognizant of that fact changes, both big and small are going to remain with us for the rest of our days and generations to come.
Some of the things I was thinking about.
Internet needs to be regulated as a utility and everyone should have it. With school systems moving online in the wake of this, it has proven that this is something that people need just as much as electricity.
To some extent, we are going to find some level of comfort with social distancing. Like at sporting events, concerts, etc. I'm personally not going to sit next to the person that continues to stifle their cough. I'm not taking no chances.
Jobs and careers. I would imagine that a large number of people are going to look at this as a way to see just how expendable their chosen profession is. Were you working from home or at the place of business, were you laid off.
I think it is going to ensure that more politicians that push nationalistic themes will be greeted more warmly than they would typically be.
What was to be China's century is done. Global supply chains will be more decentralized so that the world's manufacturing might won't be stopped like it was and has been in China. Less profits for companies but that is a risk a lot of companies will take.
Many more things come to mind. I'm curious what others think.
