Actually I know who the GREAT Didier Drogba is very well. The last non-world cup soccer match I actually in its entirety was that EPIC 2012 Champions League Final when he scored the epic header against Bayern Munich to tie the game in regulation as well as the epic game-winning penalty he scored to win the champions league.

Drogba is my last favorite player in soccer. My first favorite player was the original Ronaldo in the 1998 world cup. Then in the mid-2000s I became a Thierry Henry and Ronaldinho fan when they were running shyt. And in the late 2000s/early 2010s, I was a fan of Drogba. Kylian Mbappe is now my favorite player.

With regard to Lukaku vs Drogba. I agree that Lukaku is nowhere near that level. Didier Drogba is one of the 2-3 greatest strikers of all-time. That is a pretty high level that few can even get close to. There is no shame in Lukaku being nowhere near as good as THA GAWD Didier Drogba.

World Cup is all that matters. This is like you talking to me about what happened in the NBA regular season when we in the playoffs. What happened in the regular season don't matter. Your performance in the playoffs supercedes it. Similar who cares what they did this year in the Premier League? The World Cup supercedes it. And thus far in the world cup, Paul Pogba has been the best midfielder. Lukaku the best striker. And Mbappe the best overall player. PERIOD.

actually Phillipe Coutinho has been the best midfielder but he's out now he's been better than De Bruyne up until the last game where De Bruyne actually played as an attacking midfielder/false 9

you can not give a shyt about club football but that's the better way to measure players because it happens over a longer period of time. the World Cup is 7 games at most

I don't know about basketball but the football world might give a shyt about a World Cup performance for a little bit then it's back to reality. no top club would want Roberto Martinez as a manager despite his work with Belgium or would consider Fellaini a top DM despite decent performances in this tournament

He may not be the best all round striker in the world, but he's certainly the most intelligent and tactically aware. Harry Kane is just a finisher, he can't do anything else, and fair play because if you're that clinical in front of goal you're still a world class striker. He's basically an off brand Inzaghi who scores goals but has none of the intelligence. Lukaku is on a whole another level.
