If Argentina crashes out of the group stage and Messi doesn’t manage to score a goal...:wow: There will be hell to pay.

Portugal isn’t out of the woods yet either. If they lose their next game, they will be eliminated so Ronaldo is going to have to keep the pace going so that his teammates can hopefully follow suit.

You have to wonder though if the coach and his teammates are taking Ronaldo for granted. At some point, someone else on that team needs to take a little load off of Ronaldo, otherwise he can burn out in the later rounds despite his peak physical conditioning.

Brazil looked MUCH better than Argentina has at any point during this tournament. They only got a point against a good, defensively tenacious Swiss side. But at the very least, they looked organized with a cohesive strategy. Their starting 11 doesn't really NEED any changes right now, they just need some tweaks in how they attack.

Argentina is a dumpster fire. They're done. They're imploding like France did back in 2010.
Wasn't there some locker room rift during that world cup about a mutiny or some shyt and they tried or blame Evra or some shyt? :patrice:

Otamendi was second to Messi for Argentina in the last World Cup IMO. There are imbalances in their attack/defense/midfield, but there's no excuse for a team with Aguero/Di Maria/Dybala/Higuain/Otamendi/Mascherano/etc. to talk about talent. That's close to plugging Ronaldo on Belgium.
