Always said that African teams need (1) strong infrastructure back home for good club football on the continent, (2) Hire LOCAL COACHES instead of these European mercenaries who can't get a good job in Europe and have no vested interest in the performance of the team. Aliou CIsse is an example he wants his country to win. These European coaches barely spend time on the continent to scout local talent instead show up a week before some qualifying game and gather up European based players. (3) Having European based players at top level obviously doesn't seem enough there have been top European based African players but somehow it has not led to international tournament success.

Despite my confidence in Senegal, they should have closed out Japan and thier lack of discipline showed which was totally different from the game against Poland. In short, African football needs revamping.

I dont like teams that go ham on the ref every fukking call, especially when your players (di maria) are taking blatant dives. fifa should do something about that before one of these refs swings back. throwing balls on the pitch to time waste. cokehead giving double birds to the opponent. salute to naija fam for staying composed and classy throughout all that pouting.

This is one thing with foreign coaches:

The job is just a stepping stone for them. They don't have their heart in the team because it's not their country their managing.

But with Nigeria if you go with a Nigerian coach then you get all of the BS politics that come with it. You go with a foreign coach then you get situations like this, keeping Iwobi on the bench until the 90th minute. Playing for a draw when Argentina smells blood in the water.

Anyway, I'm just looking forward to 2022 now

Real talk. Some of these coaches can't even get 2nd and 3rd division jobs in Europe....or even MLS for that matter! But they come to African and middle eastern countries demanding wages like they got Ferguson's trophy cabinet. Think about that for a second.
