Argentina need to implement a more balanced approach: midfielders and forwards, a more "classic" Argentina if you will.

How is it that they have Higuain, Aguero, Dybala, Icardi (I know he's not at this WC), Pavon......and you still can't implement a system that gets away from Messi (who can't do it all) and instead integrate these players and let them run wild on these international sides. These players will run off to Europe and score endless goals, but come to the national team and stand around watching watch Messi gonna do next.

Argentina as a whole is an enigma.

Messi has Dybala, Higuain, Aguero, Mascherano, Di Maria and Banega as his supporting cast.

HOW MUCH MORe HELP DOES MESSI NEED? :damn:

Besides Dybala they all old as phuck and have too many big defeats to their names.

Bu-bu-but they all in their prime years, they 29-30. They've all been playing top level for 13-14 years. You don't think playing high level football for that long isn't going to have wear and tear on the body. This Argentina team looks exactly how Spain did in the last World Cup and Germany did in the first game vs Mexico old and slow.

Oh look, a goal by Luca Modric, the actual best player in this game.

nikka ONLY 5? You do realize 6 goals has been enough to win the WC Golden Boot 11 times?

5 goals in a World Cup is a HUGE amount. You just told me someone scored a third of their entire teams output and it somehow isn't herculean?

And how much do you think it opens up opportunities for other players when one of their teammates is scoring at a rate that puts them in the 1% of World Cup goal scorers? :jbhmm:

Not to mention two of those goals are two of the most clutch solo efforts in the history of the game. :wow:

Stop caping for this dude.

I get it. FIFA '09 and Pepsi commercials told you he was the GOAT. The CL goals seemed to confirm this. But unless the dude is related to you, you gotta call a spade a spade.

If the roles were reversed and Ronaldo regularly was invisible for his national team as they won nothing for a decade and Messi was a one man army carrying them to a Copa America and scoring clutch hat tricks you wouldn't be doing ANY of these gymnastics.

Facts.
It been long decided Messi is the goat breh, stop it

They've got to develop an actual system that doesn't just consist of funneling their entire offense thru Messi. That's the sole reason why a world talent like Dybala has been relegated to Argentina's bench when he would be a guaranteed starter for every single other nation in this World Cup.

Rakitic's performance this game just further highlights how this "Messidependencia" brand of football has a negative impact on the rest of the team. Barca play this same brand of football and he's never looked as good for them as he did for Croatia this game.

His teams have to start working for him (like Ronaldo), not the other way around.
Preach !

There are national teams out there that would kill to have Icardi or Dybala....Argentina leaves out Icardi... :snoop:and Dybala comes on and can't get into rhythm or do shyt because the game is already fukked :snoop:

The entire squad is a shyt show.

Rakitic and Modric controlled that game. 2 of the best midfielders in the world. Can't hate on Argentina too bad.

I agree with the bolded. But you can def hate on Argentina in this game breh

At first both teams were dodgy and seemed to be evenly matched..tit for tat as far as fouls...clumsy play..mistakes...missing absolute sitters

Then Croatia fixed up after the break. Their delivery and crosses >>>

passing

counter

They were clearly the better team by the end. Argentina were absolutely pathetic. WACK final balls...wasted a few opportunities and corners doing that...defenders doing clown shyt

Portugal looking like the Cavs out there. And I don't gotta tell you who LeBron is. :mjlol:

The Argentine #10 is tbh.

Nah...that's Jordan.

:beli: . Argentina keep on losing in finals.

C dot 7-2 in major finals.

And let's not even get into the clone argument, Real Ronaldo/Cristiano, Jordan game/Kobe's game.

Maradona had Latin flu *sniff sniff* games all the time.
