Moses did his thing too. He bossed the right flank. Mikel was decent when they moved him to defensive midfield. Ndidi was also solid. Uzoho is actually a good keeper. Just don't know why he doesn't use his real age. He'll mysteriously "fall off" by the time he's "28".
Uzoho can't kick and that cost us with ball retention.

I am really disappointed brehs. Extremely.

Faded a bit after a while but he was definitely the missing piece in Argentina's midfield for it to be more balanced. That midfield's weakness is Masche though. Man is way passed it and is a liability now. I don't know that Argie team well but they need a better 6 asap even if that replacement is not as good a passer as Masche.

Griezmann and Mbappe gon make them boys look foolish...of course there's the Messi factor....but Kante + Pogba vs that Arg midfield....I'll take the Frenchmen.

This is one thing with foreign coaches:

The job is just a stepping stone for them. They don't have their heart in the team because it's not their country their managing.

But with Nigeria if you go with a Nigerian coach then you get all of the BS politics that come with it. You go with a foreign coach then you get situations like this, keeping Iwobi on the bench until the 90th minute. Playing for a draw when Argentina smells blood in the water.

Anyway, I'm just looking forward to 2022 now :yeshrug:

Actually thought about Stephen Keshi. How do you not make any subs well late into the second half when you can see your players gassed.

Uzoho really couldn't kick for shyt. He just too young. Most goalies aren't good till their mid 20s. He look like one of them really talented 19 year olds but he's not Donnarumma or anything beastly. We need a prodigy. That's what we need. A superstar talent. Musa and Moses are great but we need a clinical striker.

If i see giroud or matuidi anywhere near that lineup...:francis:
I don't get the Blaisou and Giroud hate :beli:

Matuidi's a worker, unselfish, make runs to provide space and opportunities for others, can cross, press from first to last minute, is humble and goes hard for the NT. He was trash against Peru but he was playing as a winger (!) so he could provide support to Hernandez against Peru's right side. I guess we played better today when he wasn't in the squad. The problem of France is not one player, it's the system in which we play.

Giroud can play passing football as he links very well as a pivot with a second striker (Grizzi) but also a crossing target as he's very good with header and positioning. He's slow, a bit too soft and not a great striker by any means but he has always delivered with the NT. Works hard and he has the ability to score wondergoals out of thin air.

We have flashy players we need unselfish workers to balance the team. :martin:
