It depends. Ghana for example , we had our best showing with foreign coaches, we tried with a local coach in 2014 and the players and the FA sabotaged him(collecting bribes for players to be selected and shyt).
Idk, the players seem to respect the foreign coaches more. Till we all change our mentalities we all won't do shyt at the tournament

That's the catch 22. Foreign coaches tend to bring professionalism but sometimes they lack heart.

Same, I'm favoring France as we've seen what a good midfield can do to the Argies above all if Sampaoli goes retarded again. Only thing is the addition of Banega (hopefully for them, it's definitive) brings more balance there. But we know Mbappé or Grizzi won't be as merciful on counters than Naija and Masche is guaranteed to make a couple of mistakes that will allow dangerous counters.

Faded a bit after a while but he was definitely the missing piece in Argentina's midfield for it to be more balanced. That midfield's weakness is Masche though. Man is way passed it and is a liability now. I don't know that Argie team well but they need a better 6 asap even if that replacement is not as good a passer as Masche.

Mascherano was (rightfully) not in Sampaoli's plan for the WC. Everyone knows he's shouldn't be in the squad, but he's Messi's right hand man an a locker room leader so he was basically forced to put him on the squad. Once he was there, it was a matter of time before he ended in the starting 11. The whole Argentina team is basically controlled by Masche, Messi and friends, whoever is the manager has to adapt to that.

The fact that it still hasn't bit them in the ass is both and if he starts again against France there's sincerely no reason for Le Bleus to not score at least 3 goals aside from a horrible choke job.

Well that's the problem, Sampaoli did a horrible job selecting the squad for this tournament, everyone knew that since day 1. And to be honest, I'm sure Banega can do a better job at DM right now than Mascherano.
