Portugal isn't strong enough otherwise. Messi is on a squad that is messed up because he wants to play like he's at Barcelona. They will be much better without Messi. Messi would be better internationally if he played in Argentina till 20, he plays too much like a Euro. He doesn't play like a South American. Nothing like Maradona. Nothing like even guys like gabriel batistuta and Crespo.
