I stand by it yes. The amount of firepower with a proper finishing should have blown anybody out. You look at the number of chances created per game compared to France's or any other remaining team and they are far better. Even today as Brazil lost, they should have won with a bit better finishing.

France is more solid but lack real link up play, movement, and creativity in open play. We rely on Mbappé on the right to take on defenders, Hernandez on the left to cross and outnumber people and Kanté-Pogba to regulate. But that doesn't create scoring opportunities as easily as we could potentially. However that means that if we score first, we can let things come to us because our midfield will hold and our defense is sound. Add to taht that Giroud-Grizzy will hold and MBappé will counter and we can control a game as we'll be a threat. But in open play against a good defense, we can't do shyt. Now you take a look at Brazil against a deep defense like today and you see the difference in quality. It's clear as day.

Today our goals came from a set piece and a blunder by the goal. That said, the best team doesn't necessarily win the tournament.
