Sterling gets all the criticism but he's been way more positive than Ali
Alli doesn't look fit tbh. But yeah he hasn't looked great. I did say after the Colombia game that RLC should start instead and have him off the bench.
Southgate has to get some credit for giving Sterling confidence after not the strongest of games in the opening 2 matches. People wanted Rashford in before and after the tournament started. Southgate realised that what Sterling needed was to feel trusted and that faith has shown in Sterling's performances vs Colombia and in the first half of today's game.
Now if only Sterling could improve his decision making and composure and he would be unstoppable, because his movement is excellent. Yes he has the pace, but he knows how to use that pace effectively.

Sterling should of buried that chance and should of passed it to Kane on the second ball after the chance became more difficult.
