Thank God. We were a penalty away from the completion of the most fradulent World Cup final right in history and I’m referring to England. Getting to the final through Russia and Kane winning the Golden Boot on penalties would’ve set back football a century.

The english commentators were supporting the russia team because they know england would be favorites and have a far better team than russia, with croatia they are equally as strong and good. England does not deserve to go to the finals, they have beaten mediocre teams and have had an easy path thus far. i hope croatia beat them.Their fan bases and the pundits who support them in the media are so arrogant and condescending.

I wouldn't be shocked if we see teams in future world cups playing to lose or playing to finish in 2nd place just to get an easier path. We've seen stranger things at world cups.

They expect the keeper to do the work for them by committing to one side and then just going opposite. If the keeper doesn't bite then the penalty taker has no momentum to actually strike the ball, it produces weak shots too if you look at the misses. Figo used to do them and missed a crucial one against Juve. The misses are hilarious but not as much as failed panenkas
