nikka I just watched Lukaku play hundreds of minutes of football during this tournament. Even if his first touch isn't sublime at all time, its good enough for him to have EASILY been the best striker in this tournament. How can you be being futbol for over 15 years but your first touch is still that poor?

Your first touch is one of those skills that you really must develop while young. It's one of those skills that if you miss the ideal window for development then you'll never hit the levels needed to really really be elite.

I'll add this, as a striker, especially as a target man, you can get by with not having the best first touches. When balls are played into space you can rely on one touch finishing, and at the lower levels you can use speed to combat a poor first touch.

Also, bigger guys tend to have trouble with finer movements and skills due to having heavier legs. Lukaku is a big dude, make no mistake about ti.
